Hello! Welcome to my blog, I am a river. There are three different courses in me. They are, the Upper course, the Middle course and the Lower course.
Upper course
My Upper course has a Steep / V-shaped vally , a narrow / shallow channel and i am always at a high land.
I also have interlocking spurs , waterfalls and gorges. My velocity is the fastest at this course and erosion is occurs here as the energy is the highest.
Waterfall are made by water flowing over an area of alternate band of hard and soft rocks. when it reaches the soft rock, the water starts to erode or wear away the soft rock.
Over thousands of years, the soft rock is eroded and the river begins to cut down vertically into the rock. This makes a cliff over which the water can topple.
Over the time, the cliff become steeper and deeper and a waterfall is formed. At the bottom of the waterfall, a pluge pool is created.

Middle course
My middle course have a gentle skipping valley with floodplains. The floodplains have a rich and fertile soil which will make people grow crops on them. It also have a wider channel and more suspended sediment.
There are meanders ,river cliffs and slip of slopes. The velocity at this course is moderate and Erosion and decomposition takes place here.
Floodplains:
During heavy rains, the river overflows its channel and water can be spread across to the valley floor.
Sediments are carried with this flood water.
Overtime, layers of sediment build up to form a flood plain
These fertile floodplains provide the ideal ground for farming.
Meanders:
Refers to the series of loops created when rivers flow over gently sloping land.
Meanders changes shape and location because faster flow at the out bends leads to erosion of outer bends.
Slower flow on the inner bends result in deposition of sediments.
Meanders grow larger overtime.

Slip of slope
Lower course
It has a gentle sloping valley with floodplains as well. Flate and wide floodplains, Wide and open valley and very wide and very deep channel.
It also has a on-bow lakes levees and deltas.
Delta:
When the river reaches the sea or lake, energy is reduced greatly resulting in deposition of materials.
Sediments can build up as long as there are no strong waves.
Overtime, layers of sediments build up into rich fertile soil that block up the river channel.
River is forced to divide into separate channel or distributaries.
Even these distributaries may be blocked and get divided yet again.
Gradually, the sediments build up to form a delta.
